Ken Hutchinson is a Project Manager at Taylor Architecture & Design, where he leads the preparation of construction documents and provides construction administration for the firm’s mixed-use and multi-family projects. He brings two decades of experience in residential, multi-family, and retail architecture across New Jersey and the mid-Atlantic — carrying projects from early design through permitting, bidding, and construction. Ken’s background spans the full life of a building. He has produced and managed construction document sets for projects ranging from custom homes and coastal rebuilds after Hurricane Sandy to a three-building, 675-unit apartment community in New Brunswick, which he modeled in Revit from the first line of BIM through permit set. His retail work for national clients including CVS, Walmart, Target, and TD Bank sharpened the coordination, ADA compliance, and consultant-management skills he now applies to TA&D’s developer-driven work. On the construction administration side, he is a steady hand with submittals, RFIs, site visits, and punch lists — the details that keep a project true to its design intent. Ken holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Drexel University, where he trained through its immersive co-op program, and an associate degree in architecture from Brookdale Community College. He is currently completing his experience hours toward architectural licensure. Outside the office, he is an avid cook, a superhero-movie expert, and a former shore resident who still misses the beach.
